“Impression”

Acrylic work exploring abstract forms through layers of gray, black, and white. Irregular shapes move throughout the composition, defined by fine outlines of gold, blue, red, and green.

I created the work around the interaction of these shifting forms, using variations in texture and tone to allow shapes to emerge, overlap, and connect throughout the canvas. The touches of color provide subtle boundaries within an otherwise monochromatic composition.
