“Mar-A-Lago” is an acrylic work depicting a small rustic cabin surrounded by trees beneath an oversized moon. The dark silhouettes of the bare trees contrast with the soft blues, pinks, and purples of the sky, while warmer earth tones fill the landscape below.
I created this piece around the idea of solitude and the quiet beauty of a place removed from everyday life. The unusually large moon gives the familiar landscape an imagined quality, somewhere between a real place and a dream.
