“Palm”

Acrylic work on a 14″ × 18″ × ½″ canvas inspired by a grove of palm trees. I used simplified shapes and strong contrasts of dark brown and black, with touches of bright green throughout the landscape. The loose forms and colors reflect my interpretation of the palms and their tropical surroundings.

The contrasting neutral background brings the palms forward, giving the scene both depth and an almost graphic quality. Loose textures and irregular shapes lend the work a spontaneous character, capturing the feeling of tropical vegetation through an imaginative, expressive perspective.
