Ballerina celebrates the Black woman who masters every room she enters. The pink costume against the grandeur of stone columns says something profound – that Black feminine excellence has always belonged in spaces built to inspire awe.

This painting speaks directly to every woman who has ever been told to choose, to narrow herself, to pick one dream and abandon the rest. My answer symbolizes the resilience and determination of a Black female athlete, gracefully navigating multiple demands in pursuit of excellence.
