“Alien pod”

“Alien Pod” is an acrylic painting centered on an enclosed organic form surrounded by flowing bands of turquoise and earthy orange against a textured blue-violet background. Within the pod, layered shades of blue, green, and violet create a sense of something suspended, protected, or still forming.

I created the piece around the idea of an unfamiliar life form developing within its own environment, inspired by the way bacteria and viruses grow and evolve. The surrounding lines suggest both containment and movement, giving the pod a sense of isolation while remaining connected to the space around it.
