“Glamour”

This piece grew from an unexpected meeting of two visual ideas: the graceful profile of an earring mannequin and the intense blue developing on another canvas I was working on. I brought the two together, transforming the mannequin’s elongated silhouette into a metallic-gold figure set against a field of layered blue.

The metallic gold catches and changes with the light, while variations of blue reveal brushwork, shadow, and depth across the background. The contrast between the simplified golden figure and the atmospheric blue gives the piece a quiet artistic presence—as though she exists somewhere between shape, color, glamour, and imagination.
